Summary

Since this week was the last week, before Holiday Break. I had to answer many questions about genetics. I learned that DNA is a molecule that contains the instructions which helps your cells function. I learned that genes are the instructions manual for the body to make proteins. There's is about 25,000 genes. Chromosome is the units of DNA. A human hold 46 chromosomes. There are thousands or different kinds of proteins. Genes are the blueprint for making proteins. Heredity is the passing of traits from traits from parent to child. There are about 23 chromosomes, that each parent pass to their offspring. Traits are a notable feature of quality. Finally, each parent gives 1 of their allele to the baby, so the baby gets 2 alleles. As you can see, I didn't much this week.

S&EP7 - Engaging in Argument From Evidence

I used evidence to defend my explanation. The last two periods of this week (and year), we were working on this worksheet. In these worksheets, we learned about genetics, DNA, Genes, Chromosomes, Proteins, Heredity, and Traits. We had to answer questions with complete sentences and evidence. As you can see, I used evidence to defend my explanation.
