Summary

Through our Evolution Project, we are to design our own species and organism. My organism is the Slouse. The Slouse is combined of the two main animals, sloth and mouse. The size of it is about the size of a mouse. The Slouse can climb well, like a sloth but isn’t tall. The black fur will keep the organism warm. The Slouse preys on insects and eats most plants. The animal has night vision so it can see while hunting for food and water. It will camouflage to avoid its predators. These characteristics of the Slouse is made so the animals fit into the environment, which is Planet A. Planet A is cold, dark, and wet most of the time. But with the fur, vision, and it’s strong characteristics, the Slouse will do just fine.

SP2 - Using models

Our project is basically creating an organism that fits into a scenario. In this case, we created The Slouse: a sloth and a mouse, which lives on Planet A. I used models when my group made sketches of our organisms. We first looked at the components of the scenario. Planet A is cold, dark, and wet. So, we created an organism that would fit into that. We drew the front, back, and side views of the organism. As you can see, we used models when we created sketches of our organism.

XCC - Structures and Function

This organism shares the characteristics of different species but shares it mainly with the sloth and mouse. The physical characteristics of the slouse will help the animal live in the environment of Planet A. For example, its black fur will help keep it warm. Since the animal is small and has black fur, the animal is able to hide and camouflage in the dark. Its sharp and strong claws help it climb trees very well. The structure of the organism will help it function, live, and adapt to its environment.

Multiplier

This week I was a creator, because I wanted to do things. I wanted t the get group going on our new project.
