The Respiratory System

Human Body Redesign : The Respiratory System

Body System Function:

The respiratory system is like the circulatory system, a system of transporting. The respiratory system bring oxygen to the body. It also helps get rid of the carbon dioxide.

Organs:

Diaphragm: muscle that works with your lungs to allow you to inhale

Lungs: It is where all the oxygen is processed to be carbon dioxide.

Trachea: This allow air to pass through.

One Organ's Structure and Function:

Personally, I think the main function of the respiratory system is the lungs. When I hear the word lungs, I think this organ is very important, because in order to breath you need lungs. Lungs can easily be harmed if you use it improperly, like smoking. The lungs is where all the oxygen is processed to be carbon dioxide, so now the respiratory system will release it. As you can see, I think the main function is the lungs.

Interactions with Other Systems:

The respiratory system doesn't work alone. The respiratory system interacts with the circulatory and digestive. The respiratory system bring oxygen. Even though the circulatory system delivers blood to the body, it also delivers oxygen. With the digestive system, to where you eat with your mouth and then digest it. The respiratory system also interacts with the nervous system, with the nose to where to we smell. As you can see, the respiratory system doesn't work alone.

Analogy

This plant is like the respiratory system, because a plant breathes in carbon dioxide, and breathes out oxygen. In the respiratory system, it help the human breath in oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide. The  stem of a plant is like lungs in the immune system in your body, because the stem help bring energy through out the plant and the stem helps process and bring oxygen throughout the body. As you can see, a plant is like the respiratory system.

Redesign

I would make it that the respiratory can make changes to the heart. This could also use our oxygen to produce more carbon dioxide. As you can see, I would make it that the respiratory system can do some more changes.
